As I understand it, the book includes:

Snoopy trying to break Babe Ruth's record

The Rose Bowl parade strip

What other story lines are included?

Also, do the above stories appear in other pre-1980 books? I have the feeling they do.

I have the feeling they do.

If you're asking if there's redundancy, then the answer is, not really.
As usual the material also appears in Fawcett Crest books (Play Ball,
Snoopy; They're Playing Your Song, Charlie Brown) and some of the strips
appear in "treasury" collections, but Win a Few is a "primary" strip
collection rather than a "treasury" that reprints strips that have most
been already reprinted elsewhere.
